THE CONCEPT:

Aquarius, the air sign called the water bearers.

Saturn is the traditional ruler of this sign, with Uranus as the modern ruler.

The background illustrates the rigidity of Saturn in shapes while being colorful and unconventional (Uranus).

Despite being water bearers (bearers of heavy emotions) this sign is rather detached. To illustrate the detached nature of this sign, both figures are without faces. Merely they have rings of emptiness and light in place of their facial features to express a void.

The clouds are meant to tie in the nature of air. However, the clouds are dark due to Aquarius being a fixed sign, and storm clouds being heavier in nature.

Lastly, the eye within the sun was a final touch that came to me within a dream —the ultimate overseer.
